This 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 was delivered new to Dockery Ford of Morristown, New Jersey and reportedly retained by its original owners until 2010, when it was sold to a New Hampshire collector and placed in storage. The car is finished in Night Mist Blue with white stripes over black knit vinyl upholstery and powered by a 428ci V8 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. It was acquired by the selling dealer in 2017 and freshened in 2018 with a new radiator, spark plugs, battery, fluids, braking components, and more. This GT500 is reportedly recognized by the Shelby Registry and is offered in California with a Deluxe Marti Report as well as a clean New Hampshire title.

Lime Gold is the original color according to the Marti Report, and the car is believed to have been repainted in its current Night Mist Blue in the early 1980s. The seller notes that the finish has weathered poorly and shows a number of imperfections. Cosmetic features include white Le Mans racing stripes, chrome bumpers, and outboard grille lights.

Aluminum 10-spoke wheels wear older Viper TR Radial GT tires that the seller notes are in need of replacement. Braking is from powered discs equipped from the factory up front and drums at the rear, and the seller notes that the system was refreshed in January 2018.

The black interior features knit vinyl upholstery and matching carpets. Factory options include a folding Sport Deck rear seat, shoulder harnesses, courtesy light group, and interior decor package.

Additional equipment consist of power steering and an AM radio as well as an optional tachometer and trip odometer. The 5-digit odometer is said to show 73k miles, approximately 1,000 of which were added by the selling dealer.

The 428ci Police Interceptor V8 is equipped with a dual-quad carburetor setup and paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The seller reports that the car was refreshed in January 2018 after being housed in long-term storage, with the work reportedly including installation of a new radiator, spark plugs, battery, and engine mounts as well as carburetor rebuilds, a cooling system refreshment, and fluid changes.

Some corrosion is noted underneath the car, and additional images of the undercarriage are available in the gallery below.

The Deluxe Marti Report lists original equipment and delivery at Dockery Ford of Morristown, New Jersey.

There are a lot of "reportedly" type statements in the write up.  Unless it is true and verified it shouldn't be listed IMO.  Does anyone know anything about this car?

BAT uses that term quite a bit in my opinion and the obvious reason is an attempt to insulate themselves from being accused of stating something as fact that has not been proven to be the case.

I use to own the car...
It's a great little car

Monterey auction, then a couple times recently on eBay in the $130k's. Pics on Bat are the first that show the true condition.

It's me! For some reason BAT will not let you write copy. They insist on writing the ad. Horrible I know, but what can you do. I cannot emphasize that this is NOT a $250 car for $35,067. Gotta love the internet. YES the car needs a paint job if you want a perfect car. Yes the car runs like a date rape and is very reliable and a blast to drive. This is the cheapest, correct GT500 for sale on the planet.

The bidder at $51 really knocked the guy out of the box at $50!

How can that be if it is the wrong color?

Smoking deal! I love the value threads! Testgt350 please post some cheaper 67Gt500 4-speeds, or autos or conversions or gt350s, or even cars without an engine. I really can't think of any. Indeed the obvious is that it needs a paint job! Get crazy and bring it to Legendary Motor cars or whoever is the best and or most expensive. Spend $30,000! $115+30 = $145 for essentially what will be the nicest gt500 on the planet. Need I say more?
