I have to call out what appears to be an altered DSO document in the eBay listing. I'm not knocking the car as it looks very nice even if it's not a factory color.
PLEASE NOTE; The current seller likely does not realize this is an altered (faked) document.

The auction posts the "original" document DSO 84-2572 showing a 211F package with 1 gray unit. Look closely at the document because the package was altered and hand written in place of the original typed info. 84-2572 is a 201F DSO!
The paint color was also altered and hand written in place of the original info as 1901 gray instead of the actual red car. A gray painted car does not exist on this DSO 2572 per the registry data. That single unit painted red car is #2015.

#1210 is listed in the registry as part of DSO 2527. There are only 10 cars in this correct DSO 84-2527. They are 211F packages, 5 are Gray, and the other 5 are Lime Gold.

The ad mentions the correct color is verified as code 1900 Medium Gray, and even shares an original B&W photo of the car back in 1967. The altered DSO is the sly part suggesting it was ordered as 1901 Silver Frost. This forthcoming information from the seller is why I don't think they realize the DSO/SVO doc has been altered.

Here's a the link to the current listing and the ad;

Seller’s Description:
This 1967 Shelby GT 350, #1210 is 1 of 5 according to the Marti Auto Works report. Rare options such as special order color, air-conditioning and automatic transmission separate this fully optioned Shelby from all but four of the other 1967 Shelby's produced. The matching numbers original K code motor and a nut bolt concourse restoration make this car a turn- key blue chip investment that needs nothing more than a new proud owner. This highly documented and verified 1967 Shelby GT 350 drives like a dream and comes with all the original Ford and Shelby documents supplied by the 1967 Shelby registrar, as well as the Marti Auto Works verification report. A color copy of the original 1967 Martin Senour paint chart is also included, and is an important reference for #1210's interesting paint color history. This GT 350 is listed in the SAAC Shelby Registry, and is currently registered in California with a California black plate and a 1967 sticker. Of course there's a Carroll Shelby signature on the glove box. We have a 2019 Ford GT limited edition Lightweight arriving in January 2019 and are willing to part with #1210 if the sale is finalized prior to taking delivery of the new GT.

Color History: This car was a rare special order color from the factory, and that's where the intriguing paint code history begins. The Original document dated 1-26-67, Special Vehicle Order form from Ford Motor Company-San Jose states paint code 1901, and the car is currently painted code 1901. This documentation indicating paint code 1901 has been perpetuated throughout subsequent writings by everyone in the Shelby world, including Marti Auto Works. Only after the car was restored and painted code 1901, original photos from 1967 were discovered of this Shelby sitting in front of its first home, WHOO Radio Studio in Orlando Florida. It was then verified #1210 left the factory originally painted paint code 1900 {Thunderbird Charcoal Gray}, rather than paint code 1901 (Mustang Silver Frost) which was stated on the Special Vehicle Order form from Ford Motor Company-San Jose. In our opinion it would be a shame to, however #1210 could easily be returned to 1900 Thunderbird Charcoal Gray if the new owner wished to.

Provided with sale is a copy of the original invoice from Shelby American to Johnny Bolton Ford itemizing the following options:

Power Disc Brakes

Power Steering

Shoulder Harness

Fold-Down Rear Seat

Select-O-Matic Transmission

Radio

Air Conditioner-Select-aire

Tinted Windshield

4.0 Gallons of Gas $1.20

The original 1967 photo and write up from WHOO Radio is available

“This is a great picture from the ‘WHOO Beat' of two of our WHOO station vehicles: A Honda motorbike, and the 1967 Shelby Mustang GT ‘Cruise Newser,' which was used for a lot of promotional activities. We even ran it at Central Florida Dragway a couple of times! This was one hot car that even had a roll bar and fire extinguisher in the driver's compartment. The Mustang was the hottest car in America in the 60s, and this was the hottest model of them all. The vehicles are parked in front of the WHOO studios and transmitter building on Silver Star Road. Notice the typical Florida architecture and foliage.” Big Bill Love-WHOO Radio Orlando Florida

Thanks Dave!

I did not think it was the seller who altered the doc.
The question is where or who did they get it from? (rhetorical) Hopefully not from the person they bought it from.

I'm curious why the Marti Report has the wrong paint color listed as #1901-A?
It appears to have the correct DSO number 2527.

It sounds like you were confused by my post. The red car is a completely different car than the #1210 car listed in the ad. The ad has the wrong (altered) DSO sheet for car #1210. #1210 was an original gray painted car as shown in that early B&W photo.

Beautiful color grey on that car.  If your are a fan of 1967's, how could you not love the look of that car?

There was a thread about this car on the site before the crash.  At that time I believe the car was in Sweden.

Yes there was.  (I though the car was in France - doesn't matter - it was across the pond).

If IRC the guy that had just bought the car had come on the forum and posted some images and asked some questions.  The images caused some question as the color was Silver Frost (a Mustang color) not the Lincoln/Thunderbird color it was originally completed as.  (will post posted the images from back then).

After some hoopla it was stated there were some paint reference sheets from many years ago had a typo where the paint color codes #1900 and #1901 and the names Sliver Frost and Huntington Gray/Medium Metallic Gray were transposed.
When the car was repainted at some point the info for the paint used was the sheet that had the color names swapped - and the car ended up the Silver Frost.

Nice looking color on a '67 Shelby but not a "correct" color.  Hope the sale goes well.

The Ford VIN is 7R02A158062.

The VIN is in plain sight right near the top left right under "Vehicle Order Image".

BTW, the "A" supposed to be a "K"  ::)

Marti.

You can go under listing on eBay and see the VIN much clearer.

Don't think this is anything new or exciting.  All 67 350 are listed as A, All 67 500 are listed as S in the Marti vehicle order images of the few dozens of Marti reports I have seen.
