which voltage regulator (silver or yellow lettering) would a 1970 gt350 convertible, 4speed,with AC and battery option 2 recieve...thx keith

c8tf yellow i would think with a/c & power top. I recently read somewhere that power top convertibles had the HD yellow c8tf v-regulators even if they didnt have a/c. Anybody documented c8tf with power top vert option?

Ed,that is what I think and what I have seen however the cars that I have seen I can't say 100% were untouched in that area.

thank you,is this on the buildsheet?

55 amp alternator would be mated to a C8TF marked regulator.

Not in all cases. Have seen build sheets stating 38 that have 42 and 55
I would agree your car should have 55
