I had purchased a 6 cylinder 1994 Mustang when I was first married. (Very poor Dental Student, but at least my heart was in the right place buying a Blue Oval)  What a piece of crap that car was!  It literally tried to kill me once.  I parked it on a moderately shallow incline in the parking lot of my first dental office and even though it was firmly in park, the entire car slid toward me on the Long Island winter ice and almost took me out.

Back then, little did I know I was driving the 'The Govenator's Mustang'.

Interesting find.

Never could get into Gen IV cars, even though there were some incredible performance models developed.   ::)

Brian,
It's really odd that you found this article and posted it today. Just yesterday I had a similar conversation with a friend about the Jenner nicknamed style concept. (For those that don't know, he used to race, Mustang T/A cars in the late 80's -early 90's) If you remove the c-shape out of the side and add an egg-crate grille it could pass as a GM car from the period. Very bland styling

The Rambo styled car reminds me of a steroid induced Mustang II, particularly in the upper hind quarter. That was not a good direction in my opinion.

The Schwarenegger car looks fang toothed, but was my favorite of the trio. I'm glad they fixed that lower front in production. I always wished they made the car without added on lower rocker. I know it helped keep the road rash off the side, but it looked so much nicer with out it. I've lightly contemplated removing it from my '98 Cobra vert.

Hey - don't feel bad, Brian. My first Mustang was a six cylinder queen as well...brand new! I thought I had hit the lottery (I was on active duty with meager funds at the time - thank God for credit!).
Nothing beats a classic!
