Anyone know the owner of 80662 (1969 GT350)?
« on: November 17, 2018, 08:07:22 PM »
The supposed original engine out of 1969 GT350 no. 80662 is for sale on Denver Craig's List.

https://denver.craigslist.org/pts/d/1969-authentic-shelby-gt350/6718193232.html

I sent a msg to Vinny also.  Pretty pricey.

Edit:  Heard back from Vinman, he pointed out it's a 351W!  Definite beware on this one.  It's been for sale for a while now, original $7500 seller was asking.

Brian,

   In 1969, the GT350 was powered by a 351W  :)

If I was the owner of 80662, I'd want to get more information off the engine, such as date codes and casting numbers on the important bits and pieces  8)

Sorry Bill, shows how little I know about ‘69’s. Still, sounds like this guy is trying to make a big pay day on this engine. I would imagine that the only person who would even consider paying that amount would be the current owner of 80662.  To anyone else, it’s just a typical 351w, correct?

Intake and valve covers are the non typical items on a otherwise typical 351W 4V.

What a tool, it's just a 351W ! I agree that the jackhole is just trying to rip off the current owner.

Is the intake manifold GT350 correct or an over the counter piece?

The picture of the one in the ad was a assemblyline intake. The 69/70 351W GT350 intake is dramatically different in appearance compared to a earlier 289/302 Cobra intake
