Very rare MKIIB will debut @ Pebble Beach tomorrow
« on: August 25, 2018, 09:05:55 PM »
One of only two MIIB's in existence.  HM/1047 hasn't been seen by the general public in approx 50 years. Restored to 1967 LeMans specifications: 2-4V dry deck tunnelport 427, acrylic lacquer paint, electroluminescent roundel panels, unique polycarbonate carb air ductwork, Pyrotector automatic fire system, tilt front end, etc.

HM/1047 won BEST IN CLASS @ the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours.    Kudos to Raredrive Inc and Mark & Carrie Allin (fellow SAAC members) for the expert preparation of HM/1047!

It’s a rare opportunity to see a full race 427 Ford MKIIB that had been sitting in 50+ years of relative obscurity, come out and complete the Pebble Beach 70 mile driving tour and then idle onto the Sunday morning Pebble Beach lawn and WIN BEST IN CLASS.  The only thing that would have made it more memorable is if Dan Gurney were still alive and once again back in HM/1047’s driver’s seat for the event.

I wasn’t at Pebble Beach and don’t have any photos of my own, but here are some links from other sources:
