New Fiat 124 Spider (convertible) based on latest Mazda Miata - this was announced in Sept of 2017 (?) and been available for a few months ...

If memory serves, the new Fiat based on the Miata was to pay homage to the original Pininfarina designed Spider from the '60s/'70s.

The Fiat version has a different engine from the Mazda and is a little heavier.

I liked the styling.

Yes, the Fiat has a 1.4L Turbo engine, different styling, and some also specific suspension changes.
