Correct fuel filter
« on: January 04, 2019, 03:46:22 PM »
What's the correct fuel filter element for a 67 GT500 with a 428?

I believe it's C4AZ-9365-A?  Is that correct?  Is that the marking on a concours correct filter, because I see a lot on eBay with numbers like D2AE-9176-A2A on the top.

The fuel filter for the GT500 is inside the screw on canister on the fuel pump. It has a replaceable element. It is an FG-1A.

Yes, if it  ever get's to the point where a judge would want to unscrew the fuel filter to check the part # on the filter, GOD HELP US !

It will not be me getting gas all over for the sake of trying to look at a filter element inside a screw in canister .
