Whats included- Interior decor Group and Courtesy Light Group?
« on: January 03, 2019, 12:10:48 PM »
Sorry for such a basic question but my general Google search didn't give me many details. I'm not a 67 expert so need a little help for my San Jose car built in May.

I know the décor group had brushed aluminum dash and door panels, door speaker grates, hard plastic seat backs/bottoms- anything else? would tilt steering be included or would that be listed specifically/on its own on a Marti Report?

What about the courtesy light group? I have no idea what's included with that.

Courtesy lights are under the dash.

Tilt was a stand alone option not related to either of the above groups

also two lights in the rear seating area located in the side trim panels and lights in the trim grille(s) on the doors as well as the glove box.

To my knowledge no '67 Shelby had tilt wheel.

Most Shelbys got the trunk light - If they had the metal underlined trunk lid (some did not), and it is not exactly a "door speaker grill".  You only got speakers behind the grill if your car came with the tape deck.  Not many or any 67 Shelbys did.

Thank you all-great info.  I remember seeing 67/68 mustangs with that small center dash trim plate trim with 3? lights in it and just wanted to make sure it wasn't a part of the group. Thanks again for the info.

The center dash panel has four lights. Belt, Door, Fuel and Brake. It's called a Convenience Group.
Here is a picture from my Shelby.

First off the Shelby interior in the picture looks nice. With that said I think it is important to clarify for the purpose of others reading this thread now or in the future to not get confused that the 67 Shelby interior in the picture has been owner personalized with non factory convenience group items . A 67 did not have the convenience group package from the factory .

What about the stainless trim around the brake clutch gas pedals being part of the interior decor group?
