I'm in the process of repainting our open track 65' Mustang fastback. I am wondering what would be the recommended location to install the battery cut off switch.

I have previously had it installed on the rear tail light panel, but was thinking of moving it to the passenger rear quarter panel. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance for any recommendations:)

Racing, you'll want it by the drivers side window opening so it can be reached in case of emergency

Your sanctioning race organization will have guidelines for this
Instead of being part of the problem, be part of a successful solution.

I put it where I could reach it when belted-in and corner workers could reach it easily from outside the car...

Check with your sanctioning body for their recommendation on location. I have a master cut off next to my seat, and another on the passenger rear top fender. My battery is located just below the cut off, so wiring is "somewhat" less complicated. Both are clearly designated by a OFF decal. Make sure the switch cuts off all power as well as the alternator.
