Hello Teri,

Ecstatic to hear that you like us are paying dues members supporting the best Shelby site on the net.

Back to the topic, what a fantastic GT500...

I hope you are not implying I am a non-paying non-participating SAAC member.

I agree, back to the original post...... the 500 certainly has a mean aggressive look and will be a killer on the streets.

Chris Thauberger, are you a supporting dues paying SAAC  member?

If so for how many years?

And your question is irrelevant to the topic.

Please stick to the topic.

Do you like the new GT500 in red?

We think it is lovely...

Good morning terlingua,

Teri great observation. Love your screenshot of the Regions. It has been proposed to change the name of the Regions to the following;

Dead Zone # 1
Florida Region
Dead Zone # 2
Dead Zone # 3
Dead Zone # 4

Well you get the picture

Then a special Region for non paying, non supporting saac participant's

Leach Region # 1

Kindest regards and back to the topic at hand...what a car or as CS would say...THE NEXT ONE !

Please note that I posted this topic in our Florida SAAC section.

Not to detract from the original topic, however I do have to agree with those who have said there are a lot of FL. car show posts. If you look at the amount comparatively to the rest of the regions, you have to admit it is considerably greater. Again, not trying to provoke, just adding to the discussion.

How many national SAAC conventions have you attended tony?

Interesting release date.  Probably not a good time for those in the throws of winter hell, but great for the defrosted states. 8)

All you guys are awesome and hate to see you bicker. ...back to topic.

Any more information come out about the 3D printed brake calipers?  There were a couple articles with limited info back in December, but haven't heard anything since.  What material, what did 3D printing help them achieve that isn't provided by other Brembos?

FL SAAC

Good afternoon,

No bickering here, we are a great group of people that share a passion.  No one in our group is an elitist. Most importantly we have the power and have made the decision to eradicate unwanted replies on our Florida SAAC Region section.

I can not speak for Ford and their reasons for using 3D printing but I can share my experience using it in the work I do.  3D printing allows for shapes and features that can not be machined using conventional subtractive machining processes.  It also allows you to get complicated parts in your hand very rapidly for testing.  You can print using so many different materials now days including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, copper... that the possibilities are limitless.  Currently you can go thru post heat treatment processes to get very good material properties but they are not as good as you get from conventional raw material processes.  But this technology is progressing at an amazing rate and is very exciting to see it develop.

Thanks Tony (and Corey).  I somehow missed that article.  Cool stuff.
