1965 Shelby GT350 Press Release
« on: March 15, 2019, 02:09:10 PM »
I came across this on eBay, as I'm sure others here did as well, and decided to place a bid.  I'm always looking for interesting items to add to my collection.  It was said to be "from a 1960's era Seattle Post Intelligencer Newspaper file folder titled Race Cars" and is a 3-page press release for the "new" 1965 Shelby Mustang GT350.  It is dated January 22, 1965 for release on January 27th.  Has anyone come across one of these before?  Is this piece found in the 1965 Shelby GT350/Cobra Press Kit?

It doesn't appear to be one of the groups of papers from the 65 press kit.

Thanks for the info, Bob!  I'm wondering just how common one of these might be.

Agreed, this was not in the 65 press kit from memory. The item appears to be an early copy of an original press release..which is common esp when the piece is coming out of a media outlets files.

Kind regards,
