I just struggle to see why they picked Damon over Matthew Mcconaughey.

Agreed. Seems like a natural for Mcconaughey?

Why do the racing Cobra's in the images posted have wire wheels?

I can already see a thread filled with the "mistakes and  inaccuracies" forthcoming on SAAC when this movie is released.

Have we learned if ANYONE from SAAC was involved with this production?

It depends on where you get your Tech Advisers from? The House of Fara is not where to find them?  ;)

I can't wait for this movie to come out.  There's been so many super hero/Star wars/Star trek movies over the last decade.  I like them all but a great car story on one of my favorite topics with a big budget, a great story and little to no CGI will be something that I'm really looking forward to.

I dont think the movie is meant to document the technical aspects of the cars or races. Maybe we can skip that thread and enjoy it for what it is? As long as they have the winner correct, Im fine with it

It needs a great film score. No Village People.
