this just in;

not edsell, the gentleman pictured is hedley lamarr the famous star from blazing saddles...another picture that should have recieved the academy award...

still 124 days from opening !
I thought that was Hedy Lamarr? :D

the lovely hedly lamarr (actress) sued mel brooks for using  the name hedley lamarr ( played by harvey  korman) in the movie blazing saddles

she/they settled out of court

They should've cast her in the movie as a character named Hardvey Korman.

A side note to this thread - at the SAAC 44 banquet the gathered were asked to raise their hand if they thought Matt Damon was a good choice to play Carroll Shelby in the upcoming movie - no one raised their hand, silence.

The room was very full, hardly any seats were available.

Was there a second vote for "who should have gotten the part?"  Like McConaughey?

No there wasn't - but I agree that they choose the wrong Matthew

Matthew McConaughey was not chosen because he drives a Lincoln....

I did get one of those posters.  It is signed by Aaron Shelby (grandson).  Nothing significant to me but fun.  Now I guess I should see the movie, but awaiting reviews by Shelby enthusiasts first before buying a ticket or waiting until it is on a cable channel. 8)

don it's going to be one heck of a film, we have a group down here that is anxiously awaiting its release

hoping to get  a participant theater to give us a section for our group

as far as that coveted poster if it was a original 20th century fox / wd poster....it would be more valuable without the signature...oh well

tremendous line up in the movie, think it will excite the crowd
"A bunch of hot rodders from California kicked Ferrari's ass"  long live America , but most importantly enjoy the movie !
