Was at my local library today, and this was on the shelf, Popular Mechanics(Nov. 2019) has a couple of pages on the Ford effort, a

sidebar with Mario Andretti on driving the Fords. will have to look for it on the news stand.

Wow that was intense! Thanks for posting! Was that when they wanted the Cobras to accommodate a piece of luggage so the corners were bent upward to confirm to rules?

Hmmm... I've heard several times about the Luggage and Spare Tire compartments on the GT40s, but not the Cobra?
Here's a photo that shows the "regulation sized" compartments pretty well on a Mk2
