A note from John Guinta
« on: February 12, 2019, 10:58:33 AM »
Don't know where to start, but if you have ever seen the movie "The Big Short", I've been in a gully. Theresa has just finished chemotherapy for a stage 3 cancer, currently in remission, and I was asked to leave the building of my employer.....no mention of anything wrong. So insurances were all out of pocket.

The good thing is I still have the house and more importantly the car, sans engine, but slowly getting the crank ground and scrounging for reciprocal parts.

The employment scene is picking up, too. I miss my Shelby friends and with any luck will be back in action soon.

One question - what do we - The Windy City Shelby Club of America -  want to do this year?

If the response is so-so, I'll get a hold of Jay at SAAC and update the member list and start another calendar, and try to keep the communication where it was.

John,   Maybe an Email can be sent out to everyone to get together for a meeting or just meet somewhere to discuss what we want to do this year.

As always you guys can console one in a bit of hurt. In that theme here we go:

The Mustang is my Shepard; I shall not want
It maketh me burn out on black pavements;
It leadeth me beside busy freeways;
It resoreth my soul;
It leadeth me in the path of quickness for its name's sake.
I shall fear no turbo, for
Torque are with me.
Thy clutch and thy throttle, they comfort me. thou preparest a lane for me in the presence of mine enemies;
thou has anointed my engine with oil;
My car overpowers.
Surely traction and victory shall follow me,
All the days of my life,
And I shall dwell in the house of the fast Fords forever.
