I was thinking that someone makes a close facsimile of the original style sewn trunk mat .  Any ideas?

I think ACC does them sewn on request. A rep came to R+A Motorsports and documented one of mine a few years back for the purpose.

Few more to help illustrate the corner detail. Have done it by hand a couple of times. Not a fun task  ::)

ACC does them. They are sewn just like the originals. I did have to trim a quarter inch off where the spare goes.

What is Burtex?

Not Vinyl - see the first image in Jeff's reply #4 - that's Butrex

That would be what was originally installed so yes that is what you want not an all rubber or one of the vinyl with white felt finish on the back side

Here is a comparison of original and reproduction mat backsides. Not exact but much better than the other non-Burtex options

The mat I posted in my Shelby is Burtex, not the crappy fleece-lined vinyl. They're about 135.00

So Do both ACC & NPD's Burtex come sewn, ready to install?
What's the 17691 part # giving you @ $420.24 ?
