Not even close Steve but I do enjoy correcting as much as I reasonably can.  I am afraid the judges would tear my car apart although I would value their opinion and would learn a lot from the experience.

In regards to the speckled mats which is what I think you are referring to , the same mat goes in a fastback regardless of if GT350 or GT500 KR.

The mat is thesame, but we should also note the convertible and fastback mats are different shapes

I was shopping for an ACC made trunk mat and stumbled onto this distributor of ACC products. The prices are much lower than going to ACC direct so thought i would pass along...

I didn't see where the description mentioned if the mat is plaid or speckled. Given they talk about 65,66,and 67 in the same category that description of whether plaid or speckled should be clarified if ordering so that there is no surprises when the order comes.

Bob, good catch. When ordering, you are forced to select plaid or speckled. There is a thumb nail picture of both and you must click on one or the other.
In addition to Bob's point about ordering plaid or speckled, make sure to order the appropriate fastback or coupe/convertible mat.

While doing a deep clean on my '68 GT350 #1034, built in mid December 1967, I came across this "felt" mat under the plaid vinyl mat (see attached picture). The part number stenciled as best I can read is C7ZZ-764545?-ATP. The stencil is not clear so I may have some numbers incorrect. The mat was glued to the gas tank and floor of the car. I have owned the car since 1988 and the plaid vinyl trunk mat and this "felt" mat underneath were in the car when I got it. The plaid vinyl mat has no backing and the backside is black.

The felt mat is likely original to the car. A few cars received them, however, the speckled burtex is more common. Original it likely sat on the tank insulation.

I dont think the plaid mat is original to the car

Stencil part number typically faces downward. Like Pete stated speckled burtex is much more common on 68 NJ cars. Must have been a secondary supplier.  Have found a fair number on 68 San Jose cars

Cool find  :)

The C7ZZ stenciled number would indicate a service replacement part, so I doubt it is assembly-line original to the car.
