Can someone tell me if #1714 was original a 4 speed or automatic car?  Thanks

Believe it says it was and Auto.  Also says it was stolen, and had a Chevy engine and was drag raced at some point in it's life.

This is what the new registery will help with, if you have it now get the numbers and stuff to Howard and get the ownership history in order

Interesting to hear the car is still around. Guess from what you shared its still not back together.

Last saw it and took pictures of its condition and details in 2006. Tag wasn't on the car in the normal location just the sheared off rivets at that time

I owned it in the late '70s for about a month. I traded it ( bare tub , gasser style straight axle , shock towers removed, , 8" ford axle housing , NO SAI body parts on it at all but it did have 4 chrome Magnum wheels which I kept  ) for a 9" drag race differential the guy needed. It had remnants of a green metal flake ( custom) paint job over the original green Ford paint an many areas of bare unpainted sheet metal. The tag was missing , but the SAI vin was there. All of the SAI modification details were present.  I was given a registration for a K code coupe as title. After a month of trying to get the title sorted and with impending rain ( it was stored in a side yard at my home) I sold it to Ray Hutson for $1,000. Both of us were confidant it was in fact 6S1714. No registry has ever given me credit for my ownership but without me the car would have been crushed as it was on the way to a local junkyard when I spotted it and made the trade.  That's my part for the history book.

Randy Thanks for the history on the car.  It has come a long way since then.  Would like to see pictures if you had some.

No pictures Steve , sorry. I wasn't a camera guy. I think I have a photographic memory  , or at least that's what people say about me. I cleary remember the "tub" being in excellent condition ( save for the front end mods) because it wasn't street driven that much. Zero rust except for areas where the paint was sanded down to bare metal ( fender tops etc, no structual ) . Can't say what happened after I sold it to Ray.
