The Hemmings author Kurt Ernst needs an education.  SFM6"R" ????  Nope.  Detroit Locker and No Spin are one in the same. I'll stop there. Articles like this are how MANY misconceptions are created. Hemmings is well respected and now "I saw it in Hemmings" makes this stuff "fact" in less knowledgeable people who repeat it to others.

Looks like someone tried to copy the look of Magnums used on 69 Boss 302's

Wow I wondered what happened to this car. Didn't know Bob died in May. He lived about a mile away from me in Andover, Ma. Both of us were die hard Shelby guys. He had a new 68 GT500KR. A few years later we were both looking for a 65/66 GT 350s. I remember when Bob got it home.. I have to say he was the fussiest guy in the world !  Bob had pics of the blue 66 GT 350 convertible I bought in 74. This guy had a lot of pics. A year later I bought a 427 Cobra an he got a 289. He moved a while ago to Maine. I went to NH. Lost track of him but always wondered about him.
Now will this make a new record for a carry over?

I thought the last carry over to sell at auction was not long ago for over $400,000

Funny thing that you don't hear much from the folks from the old forum that used to say "a 66 is a 66".

over 300K , it's the 65'S territory price and i think it was an exception , two guys really wanted a shelby on same time , a carry over is still a 66 .... ;D
