gt350shelb, Is this Eltee's 289 car your talking about ? In the one pic of the crash you can see the nose of a '66 Oldsmobile Toronado, I think that same car is in the photos of the red 427 in post # 10 on the previous page.

In my files I have the red 427 marked as CSX 3324 ? ? is that correct ? ?

Mike

If these photos should be on another thread, I can delete and move, but thought they are relevant to the discussion here ?

In my post I do say that it is a crashed 289.

Perhaps I confused the matter by talking about the Olds Toronado and the red 427 car  in post #10 on the previous page  ???

Posted those pics because gt350shelb mentioned this incident, I don't know my Cobras well enough to judge if the crashed car is a CSX 3000 car  :-\   I need some education on the different series .

Yep, that's the 289 that Eltee crashed in high school. Owing to his salesmanship, Eltee convinced his father to purchased a 427 for him to attend college. ;)

Some where some one is driving their collector car for the last time but they don't know it . Drive your car every time like it could be the last memory of it .

This must have taken place in the universe that is Parallel to the one I am in.     :o

That universe is orthogonal to mine.  Not even close.

Still as a coupe or is it now a roadster again?

It took an act of God to get my parents to upgrade from an electric mower (with 100ft cord) to a snapper with a 3 hp Briggs and Stratton).

Even an elephant doesn't have a gestation this long?

CSX3006 is currently on display at the Toronto auto show:

So are CSX2026 and GT40 P/1080, but they don't fit the subject of this thread.
