Yes, they don't look like they're either bored out of their minds, or ready to kick someone's ass.

Today's look is too hard-edged, IMO.
Yes, and it isn't getting them married or even any dates for that matter.  They better invest in their cat lady starter kits and enjoy solitude with kitty litter boxes.

The promotional and advertising artwork generated by the auto industry from '69-'70 is some of my favorite.
