Obviously you can't fix STUPID!!! If the seller doesn't get sued for false advertising OR get hit by the feds for VIN tampering , I will be amazed. $50 grand is too much for a clone in PERFECT ( not wrecked anyway) condition. Where do they find these people?

This is a true "glass ( not diamond) in the rough" alright. Nothing better than a pile of repop parts especially when they are wadded up. Why Fox news picked it up is even more ridiculous. Must be a slow day for other "important" news.

I think Fox just reposts what comes up on Barn Finds.

Somebody needs to stop by the donut shop and a hot dog stand to get the cops and a lawyer involved. ;)

It's on many social media sites, being ridiculed. So much is wrong, it's hilarious.

I want to know who is bidding, has to be a ghost or fake bidder

71 bids is a lot of fake bidding! Makes it look like there is bunch of interested party's I guess.

If he really wanted top dollar he should have gone for the possible carry over angle. Could have captured a bit more of the hysteria.....

Here's a link to the Fox News coverage of this FAKE car:

https://www.foxnews.com/auto/wrecked-rare-1966-shelby-gt350-junkyard

At least they do have this at the top of the story:

Update: Following the publication of this article, the seller said it is possible that the car is a replica, which it has since been confirmed to be Fox News Autos.

There is some history of 6S077 in the Registry. Nothing since 2002, but it's certainly not missing in action. The real car is out there.

Whats the allure to spend 50 k on a c code totaled fastback. And the bids are climbing at an astronomical rate. :-[

So it has 71 bids and is still at $50,000.  And it is not even a tribute to anything from SA considering the mix of add-ons.  On the plus side, at least he is willing to up date the information and retract the earlier bids.  That is rarely seen by other false listings and never by Pookie. 8)

You gotta give the seller credit. He did add this to the end of his listing today:

********BUYER BEWARE UPDATE**********

After communicating with a lot of knowledgeable Ford enthusiasts on Ebay. Based on the actual VIN # of this vehicle, They all have informed me that this is a 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback GT350 Shelby TRIBUTE. A true Ford Shelby VIN # would be 6R09K (Hidden under the Shelby Plate) Based on the VIN number on this Vehicle it represents a 2 barrel 289 car. If you have bid on this vehicle thinking it was a original Shelby please retract your bids and bid accordingly.

My sincere apologies for any confusion. How ever in my defense I did mention on my ad that I was not certain of the authenticity of this vehicle.
