Shelby Model
« on: June 05, 2019, 07:59:00 PM »
The man I hired to head up the restoration of my CJ cars(and a challenger) Told me Friday he had something for me...usually that is not a positive news item...However when he got to work today he calls me to come back to the Resto shop hands me this...he says " it's been kicking around my house for about 40 years and I figure if I was gonna assemble it that thing would have been done by now..."
Since you've got one I thought you might like to have it....SWEET!
Do it now...sometimes "LATER" becomes "NEVER"....

Actually built that model about 25 yrs ago. Its the Nichimo model.
It has working suspension. Note the switch behind the axle housing for the on/off for the headlights and the battery holder in the trunk.

I had the ōtaki 1/12 scale as well and traded it about 3 yrs ago. Wished Id kept it.

I collect the Shelby GT350 500,Cobra ,GT40 etc. models un built in boxes so it is cool to see what one looks like done. That model kit came with a paint set which is unusual for models to have included . When I occasionally see those for sale they typically have the paint set missing too.
