The Magnums were a nice touch :( I think my favorite was the 1965-66 FRONT sticker applied to the air cleaner.  The re "anodized" (NOT) carb was special too.

I love the color and a good story from the guy owning it since the early eighties.  He probably paid them $80K to put it back together.

Plus they don't "build" motors at the Shelby facility. Denbeste in Ca or HBR competioin in Vegas does their stuff.

Is the owner kept in the loop at all during these restorations?  I know the owner of this car wanted it to be left as original as possible.  I guess "as possible" are the key words.  Too bad there wasn't more on the actual restoration of this car, especially the rust issues.

really surprised the car isn't being picked apart here.

From the Body color Engine Bay to the Magnums.

Although I might be willing to believe the Magnums were put on while the Correct wheels were being restored.

And why didn't they just reskin the doors?

Don't lose sight of the fact these car building reality programs are aimed toward the visual. So if the construction details, parts etc aren't exactly right, it doesn't matter. What matters is the visuals and the dramatic story arc such as how they replaced the floor pan in half an hour in order to meet a car show or auction deadline.

You dont think Magnums are correct for a 1969 Shelby?

No deductions in a popular vote show.  8)  Same for the aluminum "Shelby" intake and water pump. The clueless are still clueless.
