Cast iron T-10 Transmissions in '66 G.T.350's

Anyone know if late 66's had all iron T-10's and if so around what number may have been the transition from aluminum and iron to all iron transmissions.

All 1965 G.T.350 transmissions were aluminum. In 1966 San Jose began to run out of the aluminum cases and mixed iron cases with aluminum tail shafts. I verified for my serial number 1802 I should have a iron main case and aluminum tail shaft.

6S1757 is still running the original all cast iron close ratio T-10. Assembly date is C162....March 1st, 1966, 2nd shift.

I've never seen the assembly date on my T-10.  Where would that be located ?

6S1732 also has it's original all cast iron close ration T-10 with the same date as 6S1757.

The picture of the transmission that I posted has a assembly date stamping of "A1462"

A   = January
14 = 14th day of that month
6   = 1966
2   = Maybe a shift number (?)

Some of them do. In my example from 6S933, the cast iron tail housing is stamped "L 20 65"

L =  December
20 = 20th day of that month
65 =  1965

From my experience they pretty much phased out the aluminum T10s right around the time that they went to under ride traction bars.  Ive seen aluminum in cars on the 1000s serial wise  and Ive seen all cast iron as low as in the 1200s. Ive never seen any factory minutes or paperwork showing they mixed and matched alloy with cast iron in the production cars but Ive seen ads for the transmissions that way .  the tailshafts were very fragile and they broke easily

6S1078 has an all aluminum T10 maybe this was at the switch over point.

Curiosity got the better of me so I had to have a look.  6S1575 is mid March Ford production date, T-10 main housing date is C 162 or March 1, 66 and tail housing is K 15 65 or November 15, 65.  Both cast iron.
