On the Marti Report in the Statistics Box, when it says "With these Paint / Trim Codes"  and it gives the number, is that just for that Model or for ALL Mustang Sportsroof Models combined?  For example, shown is the Statistics for a 1970 BOSS 302, that says there are: 193 with these Paint / Trim Codes, is that just for BOSS 302's or for ALL 1970 Mustang Sportsroofs built?  In 1970 there were the Base Fastback, Mach 1, Boss 302 and Boss 429.

That just says "Sportsroof which tells me that it is ALL Sportsroof's, including the Base Models, Mach 1 Models and the Boss 429 Models, which is why I asked the question.

I see your point and will hope that others will know better than I do...

Apr 20, 2016 - In order to meet the SCCA requirement for racing a production car, at least 6,500 Boss 302s had to be built. Ford cranked out 7,013 over two years, 6,319 of which were 1970 models...

JD...
I don't think those numbers are accurate....

I think they made like 7000 1970's and 1628 1969's...

Someone might correct me though.....

Are the Boss 302 Cougar Eliminators included in the number required for homologation?

Wouldn't homologation only be 500 units?

Can't remember off hand what the required units were.

I do remember that having the intended engine available to the public was what was required, not what actual vehicle it went into.

The Boss 429s comes to mind.

Just wasn't sure if the #s quoted by "capcod" included Eliminators, which also came with Boss 302s.

I think 500 units was NASCAR. SCCA used a different number, maybe based on production.

To the original question...pretty sure the #s are just for the the 70 Sportsroof in general.
I looked at a few other reports I have and it says "for the 1967 Mustang Hardtop" "for the 1968 Mustang Fastback"

I agree with this.  If it says for the "1970 Mustang Sportsroof" I have always understood it to mean any "02" body Sportsroof which includes B9's and even Shelbys.

Mach 1 Marti's will say "for the Mach 1" rather than Sportsroof.
