Great to hear you are going to be reunited with your Shelby.  Great finish to a bad day.

Bob Gaines

I am so glad to hear this happy ending. This does not happen often. You have beat the odds. Congratulations.

This is great news!! Very lucky!

NC TRACKRAT

Congratulations!  It would be great if you would share the circumstances of how it was stolen, discovered and, if anything you would do differently to avoid said theft.

So did they catch the numb nuts that did this or are they out looking or another adventure? 8)

Will get all details together when things calm down.
Short story is car/trailer stolen from Residential RV pad in the rear of property.
Lock on the hitch cut off, 2:45am Friday morning. Some other means of immobilizing trailer would probably have ward off small-time thugs as these.....
Last I heard Police are monitoring thieves movements in hopes of catching them in the act or leading to stolen property hideout. The surveillance footage acquired does not show conclusively who was in the truck....

Fantastic news!

As a side note, if you know or could find out what W code Mercury Cougar (GT-E) your engine came out of that would be important information for the GT-E registrar to have (if he doesn't have it already).

Feel free to PM me any info and I will pass it along to the registrar.

Congratulations again!!

Are those W blocks stripped like the service blocks are?

I don't know - my mechanical knowledge is very limited.

I'm sure Kerry (sportyworty) would know.

Speaking of which, I sure miss him here.

+1 on that Phillip. Talk about a walking encyclopedia...

Sporty is doing just fine. Spoke to him a month or so ago. Hoping to get out to see him this fall.
