It is what it is. This isn't an issue to me and it doesn't keep me up nights.
I like many go back to the begining with these cars. There were so many details on them to notice, if you could, then you had them being raced, so who knew exactly what the teams changed?
What it comes down to, is what the Judges determine as a standard. There has to be a standard set initially, right or wrong.
I've had so many non-conforming items over various years and models that most don't want to talk to me anyway. It's just a given that I am a contrary.
I was told by one significant judge that I can't prove anything. I wasn't there on the assembly line when my car was being built. Even if I was I didn't document anything with photos, diagrams, interviews with affidavits from workers, and I certainly don't have a web page to post all of this.
You know what? He is absolutely correct about that. I think he is wrong that my car isn't a real Shelby though, but we can agree to disagree?
I'm sorry that I ventured an opinion on this. Find someone who conforms to the authorities. I don't. When they are wrong, they are still wrong. Simple.
If the standard should be black. So be it.
