Anybody have an idea what these go for nowadays ?  I'm sure it's most likely a repro, as I know they made a few runs of them in the 70's & 80's

Hi Gearhead31,

I sold a re-pop a few years ago for around $1800 or $1600, I can't quite remember.  Before selling I mounted to a static engine with working crank and flywheel.  I measured with a dial indicator to verify it was within the OEM tolerances for being centers on the crank.  You can also measure if the face of the scatter shield is perpendicular to the crank.  Some of the repops had issues of not be centered and were suppose to be recalled.  You will do better selling is you can confirm the scatter shield is within tolerance for alignment.

Best of luck.

Hey Cory, do you remember by chance the weight differences between an original and a repo..seem to remember that was the sure way to tell. I miss our old site I remember this being talked about

I can weigh it later this week once I'm back home.....also, this was on a running driving car up until a few weeks ago.  Although, that doesn't necessarily mean that it's within OEM specs/tolerances.

I'm thinking of selling it, but the shipping cost might be prohibitive due to the weight.

Thanks for the replies !!
