MCACN 2019
« on: October 17, 2019, 09:36:05 AM »
Just a reminder:

MCACN 2019
November 23 & 24, 2019

at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center
5555 N. River Rd, Rosemont, IL. 60018

https://www.mcacn.com

I missed last year due to an inconvenient cancer, but I'm not missing this year.  There will be lots of really interesting cars being unveiled post restoration at this year's show, including some significant Shelby models (enough said).

On Saturday night, my good friend Dr. Nick will be paying for everyone's dinner again (at least not intentionally), and we are planning to get a group of Shelby/Ford fans to sit together and watch the new movie Ford Vs. Ferrari. That will be a great way to see it.

Just reply here if you are planning on attending, or don't if you plan on staying incognito.  Either way, this will be a fun way to spend a weekend.

Thanks,
Brian R. Glover

Just an observation made while my car was in-the-Show a couple of years ago.
Saturday morning from opening to about 1:00 PM is the busiest time, most amount of folks walking/looking.
After that, you can fire a cannon off and not hit anyone.  This includes Sunday, all day.  So, if you want pictures, want to chat with car owners, later Saturday and all day Sunday is the time to be there.

Wont have car in the show but still trying to figure out how to get there and back with spending 2+ days of driving or First Class  pricing on coach airfares. Will have a better idea when I get back from a trip in early Nov. Both BiG Lover and Dr. Nick, what could be better
Owned since 1971, now driven over 245,000 miles, makes me smile every time I drive it and it makes me feel 21 again.😎

I’m never making MCACN dinner plans again. I’m still paying off that bill.

I plan on going. Hey, I live in the area so I don't really have a good excuse. See you guys there.

An important question for us: Is Lil'Red to be brought out this year?  There is a suggestion that a "special GT 500" is to be there in the pre-show program they send out.

That's my understanding, as they announced last year that it would be restored and unveiled at MCACN this year.  Last year, it was in the "as found" state at MCACN when they unveiled the Green Hornet.

Not sure if little Red will be unveiled at MCACN or BJ . All I know for sure is that the restorer and his horde are working feverishly on it to get it done.

I bet!  A one year turnaround for that particular car is asking a lot, IMO.

I was there at MCACN when Craig Jackson threw down the gauntlet for this year's reveal of Lil' Red.  And, you inadvertently appeared in the background of a picture I took of Craig at that time.   ;D
