Everything is a little exciting when it's something new. Buy one put it in your garage for 5 to 10 years and pull it out and we'll see what it's worth and how exciting it is. It will be just as boring looking as the rest of them. Very few cars can stand the test of time and that will not be one of them I'll guarantee you, and I'm a Corvette owner. It's going to be a nice car for the money for sure. Who can forget the 1984 when it came out, it was out of this world also. Now look at it. It damn sure didn't stand the test of time like the 63-67.
67 Cobra CSX3251  65 K-code Conv
65 5S073.               65 A-code fastback

agreed we never liked the 84 style vettes and their lovely mags

63 through 67 they captured lightning in a bottle and maybe they may have done it again

dont think the new C8 will ever be a collectible (just like the shelby SVT cars) as to many will be produced

but let me leave you with what others in the business say about the C8 ;

All three of the major magazines described the Stingray as quiet and smooth, with Motor Trend likening its highway ride quality to that of a luxury sports sedan’s. Summing things up, Car and Driver said it is "spectacular" and the “best Corvette ever” while Road & Track called it a “sign of amazing things to come” in the form of more powerful versions of the Corvette that will be able to capitalize even more on the mid-engine design.

The 2020 Corvette Stingray has a base price of $59,995 with Z51-equipped models starting at $64,995.

General rule: If it was hot when it was new, it will be hot when it's old. There are always exceptions so who knows except our future selves. Merely removed by time and not space. So therefore give it time.
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

We saw it live, its the real deal and at 60k for a base model, unbeatable !

We viewed  it as a beater, a daily driver not as a collectable something fun to drive and that is it....

It was a first class event. Try to find out when and were it will be unveiled, get there early.  Once we got in the line, it multiplied ten fold

When I was 13 I made my dad take me to the Chevy dealer to see the groundbreaking 1963 Stingray. I guess I'll have to go see this one too.

Listen to the music a C 8 R makes. The sound of things to come Sounds very similar to an F 1 car
