Speeding toward Valhalla.
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

RIP, Craig Breedlove.

In Nov 1965, Breedlove teamed up with Bobby Tatroe to set 23 national and international speed records at the Bonneville Salt Flats driving the original Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe (CSX2287).

Like my father, I have just two emotions: Rage and Supressed Rage.

A life of chasing speed. His last car - https://www.bluebird-electric.net/spirit_of_america_2.htm
A few years ago he had drawing of a more dart like car he was promoting - if I remember it was going to be rocket powered. His boat quest never got any backing.

That's a good shot of the Coupe. Pete Brock always thought that this one was the fastest because of the low roof. If you look at the next 5 you can see they didn't follow the design and have a rise above the windshield.
