I put a picture of this up the other day in a group of Ford memorabilia I picked up.  I thought some of you might like to see it in more detail.  It just arrived in the mail.  Special Ed informed me that this was used to show Ford Dealers what their new updated sign would be looking like.  I sure remember this design well.  I'm guessing late '60s, early '70s?

66 era same time ford changed from autolite star to (after winning lemans) autolite with gt40 racing in motion signs and parts boxes that started saying autolite ford. After winning lemans seems like ford wanted a new image . The old red white blue 3 lion english crest days were over as well as FOMOCO and star autoilte.

Brian just looked at all your little ford  sign photos and never seen an NOS sign in its original box yet Very rare.  If I remember correctly the big dealer signs and the autolite gt40 type had copyright 1966 wrote in them on bottom corner of signs.

on dealer signs - I picked this up some time ago

Evidently it was a dealer sign, can't be sure of course - but seems well made and has ford embossed in the metal sides-  regardless, lights up the cave nicely

is pretty large - 10ft x 2ft approx
