Can someone put a timeframe on the picture showing an unidentified amateur COBRA having a moment (5th page)? I only ask because my cobra was painted white from the late 60's until late 70's and was racing in California as an independent entry through out this time. The car initially had 4" side exhaust, roll bar and mag wheels in the early part of it's racing career and then by the mid 70's received larger flares, oil cooler as well as hood scoop. I've been trying to find photos of the car in action.

Since the photo quality is poor....the location is correct, in that it is Laguna Seca, most likely in the early 1970's (possibly around 1971-72).  The #99, upkicked side exhaust, chopped down plexi front windscreen, 427 wheels front and rear, AP class designation, white exterior color and what looks to be a 427 competition gas cap on the passenger rear....looks to be pointing out that this is the Dick Workman 427 Cobra (3137).  What number is your Cobra?

CSX2177 - I only mentioned because other than the gas cap location most other mods kinda match mine.

here are some more pics I found of 5R108, does any one know anything about the red car ahead of 5R108 at Riverside (posted this

one before here) has some instruments on the dash, the poster on another forum said he drove the red one from Shelby American

 to Riverside ?

The red car doesn't look like a GT350 to me.  It has no Plexi-quarter windows.

I have these two images in my files, both marked as Riverside  Sept. 18th. 1966. One photo shows the start, the other shows the

cars lined up on the track with the Titus Mustang in the foreground, looks like a photo op, is this something that was done ? Or are

these two different events ? Can we identify the fourth car behind the Titus Mustang ?

Top photo looks like Riverside. The poles are a give away.

Headlights appear to be taped differently

Cobras always attract a crowd ! Comstock Cobra at Mosport, Canada 1963. This sort of crowd around cars wouldn't happen today !

I went to Mosport right from the start, when it was a big race, traffic was stopped 3 miles from the track on race day ! Getting out

at the end of the day was also a challenge. I'm sure this happened at other tracks as well.

Cool vintage photo honker ;)

Notice the early backpack the kid has on his back. Looks like leather straps. Possibly the whole thing is leather.

Just think, a lot of those kids will end up drafted to Vietnam.

Neat photo Mike!

It does appear to be one of the FIA Cobra's.

Was 'Alitalia' focused on deliveries to Sicily, Italy?
If so, it should be going to Targa Florio.

There is this 'After' the race event, photo from the return trip on a ferry boat.
We see the damage of '152'. It appears there is also damage on the right quarter of '150' as well.

Same event. Last TransAm race of the season. It was a 4 hour and the cars lined up on the back straight for a LeMans style start.
