Fords new EV crossover Mustang Mach E

This is the end of the Mustang as we all knew it since 1964, so sad to see this happen.

This new Ford may be the best car on the planet and single-handedly save the company, but it's not a Mustang as they have marketed that nameplate for over 50 years. A 4-door family sedan/SUV is not a pony car, and is almost guaranteed to alienate a large percentage of the Mustang faithful. I can't wait to see how MCA handles this. "Where do I park my Mustang-E, 4-door, SUV for judging?"

Their company, their car, their choice, but it seems to me they could have named it something else and not angered some of their most loyal customers while devaluing a nameplate they've spent decades cultivating.
