If its the green car from eBay, ask the seller the VIN. I have found, the seller is unwilling to provide basic information. The ad is very vague. The lack of details and candor are not good signs.

The car appears to be a car that was on this forum two years ago.  Good luck

Yes it’s the lime green poly car. He sent me a link to a bunch of pics which include the Vin, Shelby tag, door tag and Marti report. I’m told the Vin provided is in the registry.

He “accepted” an offer from me that I thought reasonable but has become less communicative since I asked for an inspection. I’ve been waiting on him to get back to me but am not holding my breathe.

I’m not. I need to have some level of comfort with a seller and I’ve asked to speak to him 3 times to no avail. Red flag.

Thanks. I sent a last email that I’ve got someone to inspect and to advise as to his availability. If he does not reply then something is not right.  Willing to give him the benefit of the doubt as it is a holiday weekend and he could be away.

I think I have pictures of the car pre-restoration. You can email me if it gets that far.

I suspect it is a scam. Not nearly enough information from someone trying to sell a car on that level.

Would like to see the link...

I didn't have to get off the couch to see this coming....

Digital alteration of tags and documents. Fake auction, fishing for deposits.

Thank, Sensei, for the education. Obviously the next number in order should be 221 so it is likely not a real car. Grasshopper like…
