On a serious note: I thought the car was a bit over-priced for a '68 500.

Coralsnake is probably right. There were two cars invoiced to Spain with 10 spokes.

There were 1,900 invoices missing. There could be more cars shipped overseas with them also OR with just granny caps. The Marti reports would not show that necessarily.

I'd like to see the combination that the "factory" did with the wheel/brake caliper issue on them. If you space the wheels out you absolutely will have tire to fender interference so the best solution then would have been to "polish" down the casting flash on the calipers.

The best solution TODAY would be to fully machine the inside of the wheel castings and take out the huge "dum-dum" lump in the wheel that hits the calipers.

Someone needs to get a picture of the calipers and see if they were "machined" down for clearance?

I had a note from evil bay a day or so ago that the price was reduced by 10 thou. item has now ended as of the link above.
