Shelby Auto Center

I found an envelop with the return address from Shelby Auto Center in Downey, CA.    Can someone educate me on who the Shelby Auto Center was and what they did?  Who ran the business?   

Are they the same as the Downey Auto Center?  (See this post:  http://www.saacforum.com/index.php?topic=2489.msg21310#msg21310 )

Here is a photo of the return address.  I checked Google Earth and the building was up in 1994 but gone by 2000.  Google Earth doesn't have anything in between.

J.L. Henderson, who was the longest employee of CS from 1963 - retirement in 2008, ran the facility. Tires, restorations, engines, whatever CS wanted is what was done there. May have been GoodYear store at some point as well - I recall CS telling me about it but not recalling the specifics right now

I have the 'Downey Auto Center' address listed as 9500 LAKEWOOD Blvd.


If the 'Shelby Auto Center' was a Goodyear Tire store, it's hard to believe they would be on FIRESTONE Blvd.
