They don't have the makers mark on the round tab like original so even with patina they will never look 100% authentic.

I'm going to buy those with an IOU written on a 1980s Autolite spark plug box, and sign it with a Sharpie that I'm pretty sure CS used once. 

Should be good enough authenticity for him.
