Are the original plexiglass windows in a 66 just plane or do they have markings in any way?  Thank you

For the vast majority of 66's I would agree with Bob's statement that they typically didn't have any markings on them but there are some exceptions.

Since they were cut from full (4x8) sheets of plexiglass the vast majority and typically had no markings on them. Because they tried to maximize the number of windows for each sheet they used as much of the sheet as possible.  On each full size sheet Plexiglass placed a heat stamp on each sheet near the lower corner (bought a number of full size sheets for other projects in the 60's and 70's) and because of it ever so many one got the Plexiglass stamp in the rear quarter window. Workers apparently worked out the cut pattern so that the stamp would be located in the lower corner of that quarter window so it didn't stand out allot. Not easy to find an original with the stamp but they are out there.  Sorry never figured out how many they got from a sheet to estimate how many would have been made with the stamp  ::)

Could miss it if your not looking. Not the most pleasant looking thing. Might have motivated some owners change them out when restoring over the years.

A couple of examples in pictures both drivers side and passenger side quarter windows
