I read where the Mustang Owners Museum in Charlotte is shutting it's doors due to lack of attendance and financial difficulty.

Please feel free to chime in any news you may have heard.

I just heard from Steve Hall, the Director of the Museum.  Here is what he sent me:

"Brian,

The Museum is not closing.  We did move the Museum across the street, as we felt it was important to be in a location that would give us the financial opportunity to grow.  The expense of the old Museum would not let us do so.

Thanks.
Steve"

I think we have to give them the benefit of the doubt and not spread rumors that they are closing.  Bad publicity like that will just 'stick a fork in it' as they say, because it will be done.  It's a neat place, and I really hope they don't have to close it.

Thanks,

great point, if it cannot be confirmed this topic should be extinguished

my comment was not for this site in particular,  but for the others that were discussed previously

I dont have a dog in this fight, however I have seen enough to raise the flag. Personally, if I had anything on loan, I would retrieve it now.

I recall many years ago a local dealer who ran into issues and a lot of guys that had cars there had a lot of issues. Some lost there cars that were on consignment.

A little different but why go through the trouble? Go enjoy it while its there, but dont take a chance they post "closed due to financial issues" while your stuff is inside.

The link works fine for me

Now be nice its 2020, time to change

We have the best of the best here !

Let's get back to the topic at hand

Why Car Museums are Closing
http://www.saacforum.com/index.php?topic=7540.0

this guy is spot on with his qoutes and predictions;

dust collectors,  we will hoard the cars, trailered from far away, took my family to a car show but did not spend time with them, notable figures walking around , they dont care....

That is why we have many diverse events.

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.  Ferris Bueller
