From a judges perspective out of place and incorrect....likely a large deduction

68 shocks go on your car, the 69 shocks were not available when it was built

most organizations want the car restored as it was built

I would think that the 0  is a 9 and its just not stamped deep enough as some stampings  are hard to read as tooling wore down and that's a late date so some of last Shelby shocks made and I have never seen a 70 date shebly shock nos or service replacement. The other difference between 68 and 69 shocks is fine thread to coarce threads. Also if u have a 68 kr 4-speed it don't use adjustable rear shocks.
I agree with Ed that it is more likey a 9. I have never seen or heard of a 70 dated Shelby shock ether.

I still have these and now realize I need a 68 302 smog set up.... Trade if you have what I need? I have pulleys and pump bracket now
