I recently received this suggestion from one of our members Bill B. It's the Aviation Museum in Hickory, NC that he volunteers at.

Bill says he can get our cars onto the tarmac to take pics with the airplanes. We can try to recreate the famous magazine cover I attached.
There is a café at the airport that serves great food and we can reserve a room for us for lunch, or there are picnic tables outside. The Museum is free of charge and Bill has offered to give a guided tour of the aircraft including the the museum's most popular F-14 Tomcat, and the P-3 Orion, which Bill actually flew!
For those who want to trailer their cars, there is ample room in the airport parking lot for trailers.
I'll throw out a tentative date of Saturday, April 4th, but it can be any other date potentially, except March 28th. Please comment here, or PM me to discuss. I'll be suggesting some other ideas for another event soon, but this sounds like a nice way to kick off the 2020 spring season.
