Dumb Question ?
« on: February 13, 2020, 03:09:24 PM »
Am I wrong, but '67s don't have sequential rear turn signals ..... do they ?

I was always under the impression they came out in the '68s ..... but I'm seeing references to the otherwise......

Thanks,

BG

68 used the Dynamite sticjs (From JC Whitney)
69-70 used the Cougar rear harness and sequential unit, hence the special steering column adapter harness

67's just light, but look very cool if converted.

I think the big solid bar look of the original layout is just as impressive as the sequential (which I also like).

Thanks guys.... for a while there I was second guessing myself obviously.

So since we are on these ...... outside is turn indicator, inside is running and lights, and all 3 is brake ?

All 3 (each side) are tail, brake and turn. no segmenting.

Ro..ro.....

Mine are on a schedule all their own. They look like they have been wired in Vegas !!!

Is there a stock schematic somewhere......?

The factory SA harness is very basic and can be described as primitive. They are wired in parallel and attach to the Mustang harness in the place where the wires would go to the regular Mustang taillights. There were three distinct styles of wiring for the taillight harness that were used at different times in production . There is a a marginal repro harness on the market for the later production cars otherwise you can DIY a respectable one yourself. PM me for phone info and I would be glad to go over options and instructions in detail so that you can make a informed choice. No secrets just what I would like to share is too much for me to type at one time.  :o

Bob,

Thanks for the info.... if all 3 are turn, brake and running in parallel, I think I know a local that can check mine.

If not I'll contact you.

Thanks again,
