Spring Clips that retain front molding pieces - where to buy?
« on: February 25, 2020, 06:30:30 AM »
Please let me know if you have a source for the spring clips that retain the chrome molding strips to the nose of a ‘68 Shelby.

What is the proper way to secure the spring clips to the fiberglass from behind? Did they use speed nuts or push- on retainers or??
Thanks in advance
Jeff

In s few cases the studs were threaded and there was a nut on the back. A barrel nut insert is by far the most common. AMK products sells them. You should have their catalog if you are working on any Ford product as it lists part numbers and pictures

Branda has the stud clip that slides into the rear of the trim pieces.  They include a donut cushion which is not used by the factory, originally.
