The memorabilia lots are currently being worked on for publication...there's thousands of lots which are just Shelby related memorabilia. Be sure to set aside hours at a time for going through the online catalog when it's published!

Kind regards,

I remember spending some quality time with Johns's collection looking over things and reading documents during breaks in working when I flew out to help prep the R model for its pebble Beach concours showing. It was unbelievable. The auction will be a chance like one will never get again to acquire some one of a kind Shelby memorabilia.

The yellow convertible sold privately recently

Two of the cars are now in the same collection

We used the yellow one way back when for a Mustang Illustrated cover with Jay Leno at Shelby's in Whittier. It was for sale and McClurg was trying to get Leno to buy it - but he was still a temp on the Tonight Show. Jay brought his Mark Garish built 427 Cobra.

Found footage of R002 with John and Jay Leno on this video. Starting about 8:30.

Hi 68blk500c,

I have been sending notes to many of the posters to make the correction. Some have fixed and others have not.   You can correct with "modify" in your own post. If everyone can fix their post that is still incorrect, we can get to one correct spelling.  I got the OP to fix, so subsequent posts would be correct.  The correct spelling is Atzbach, no "s".

Stay well

Cory
On the Jay Leno skit Krelboyne posted at 8:30, they have John's name spelled "Alzbach" ???

propayne

I noticed that!

Very interesting interview - thanks for posting.
