Radio Cosmetic/Mechanical Restoration Service
« on: March 24, 2020, 12:44:50 PM »
I posted this prior to the forum crash and thought I would revive it.  I can provide your 65-73 Mustang/Shelby/Cougar AM radio with a facelift if it's not looking quite up to par.  My service includes lens cleaning/polishing, repainting silver strip above pushbuttons (67-73), cleaning/polishing/lubricating pushbuttons, cleaning/polishing control knobs, wiring & connector repair, dial indicator repaint, dial light bulb replacement, chrome polishing, etc.  I can also fix some mechanical issues (pushbuttons frozen or not setting stations properly, stripped/broken tuning gear, etc.).  I do have some extra parts from discarded radios at my disposal.  I do not do electrical repairs as my knowledge is somewhat lacking in that department.  However, I can refer you to the person who does my electrical repair work.  Keep in mind that I can't make chrome pits or rust disappear but can make the area a bit more presentable.  Price is $64.95 which includes return domestic shipping.  I will charge a nominal fee for any required parts.  Please PM me with any questions.
