No room for a signature on the dash.

Carroll Shelby was a flight instructor as well. I am sure he would have been amazed at the modern flight deck.  It still isn't equipped with a coffee maker and my last trip the FA dumped coffee on me just because of a little bump. Tisk, Tisk.. :D

This is something so few will ever experience. It is stunningly beautiful to me no matter how many times I see it.
Actually looks like you are heading into the Mutara Nebula.

Someone has a Model 17. I wouldn't mind kicking the rudder around a bit in that one.

Here are a couple of more shots.  The plane was on display at the Lone Star Museum of Flight for a while here in Houston but sitting was aging her faster than use.

Are these the planes that were grounded?

No. The 73-Max is.  There is nothing a matter with it. I am rated on the 738 as well. 24 in our fleet and 27 in South West's fleet. Not one issue with thousands of hours on them. Not to start another thread with the question, Doug.

Eric: I was on staff at Chino Air Museum.  I love vintage aircraft, especially prop-driven early fighters.  Your Mod 17 is absolutely beautiful.
