Knock Off Tool: Huge Help

First, I don't own this company, though I wish I did.  I recently purchased this tool for my E-Type, and thought some people on this forum might find this helpful in case they aren't already aware of it's existence.  Ever since I purchased my '63 Jag, I have been squeamish about taking a Thor hammer to the knock offs to either loosen or tighten them on the car.  One spastic slip by me and my wheel well lip is toast.  So when I found this tool online, I jumped at the chance to purchase it, and I can now report that it works like a charm.  No more need to swing a hammer in order to change a wheel, but instead this well thought out instrument fits gently over the knock off and a 1 1/4 inch socket (included) fits onto it and you supply the breaker bar.  The tool is beautifully machined, with leather wrapped insides to protect your show quality chromed knock offs.  I paid just about $300 for it all in.

They also have different sized versions for Small block Cobra's, Lotus cars, Morgans, Triumphs, MG's and a version for 3 eared Hallibrand knock offs like our big block Cobra and GT40 brethren utilize.

I have one of these for my slabside wire wheels. Works like a charm.

interesting - I know when normally pounding on the knock-off there is no torque spec but with this tool is there one (different number for different diameter hub) or do/can you use a torque multiplier or just a cheater-bar on the breaker bar?

Cool tool, lead mallets work very well too and will not hurt a rim or knock-off.

That's great, Brian. Thanks for the info and pix.

Is your E-Type Opalescent Silver Blue?  Gorgeous color...my '66 is the same.

Brian, I, too, have this tool, for my Lotus and 'works a treat' , as they say.   But I'm guessing the 'breaker bar' you're showing
is for photographic purposes?    Looks a bit wimpy.  The Lotus requires 200 lbs/t of torque and can't imagine the Jag
is much less.
